Funmi (Foo-mee) is a licensed graduate professional counselor and psychology associate with a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology and additional doctoral level training.

Collaboration, safety and the belief that clients are the experts of their own lives are where Funmi begins when starting her work with clients. From there, her approach emphasizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and integrates family, multicultural and feminist theories to address the roles family of origin, faith, relationships, culture/ethnicity, physical ability, society, race, age, gender, sexual orientation and nationality play in her clients’ lives. As together they explore presenting concerns and plans for change, clients may develop/improve skills in mindfulness, awareness and understanding of emotions, thought flexibility, self-motivation, values-based actions, self-compassion and other cognitive behavioral skills.
